The Cushion-Pac® 18 advantage:

  • Inspectability - A fully cushioned core, utilizing WRI's exclusive plastic enhancement process, significantly reduces inter-strand cross cutting, allowing for external inspection of operational wear.
  • Performance - A specially designed 18-strand Dy-Pac construction, combined with plastic enhancement, provides superior in-service stability, excellent rotation resistance and improved drum spooling.
  • Quality - Hight quality standards and manufacturing techniques, certified to ISO-9001, ensure consistent rope quality and performance.
  • Technical Service - A full technical support team ensures that product application, usage, and installation information can be obtained to maximize performance.

Cushion-Pac® 18 Ropes Improve Performance and Operational Safety

  • A fully conditioned core, utilizing WRI's exclusive plastic enhancement process, significantly reduces inter-strand cross cutting throughout a rope's life and allows for external inspection of operational wear.
  • A specially designed 18x19 multi-strand construction, combined with plastic enhancement, locks the core in place and better supports the strands, providing excellent rotation resistance and enhanced in-service stability.
  • Dy-Pac strand compaction increases the steel area of the individual strands, producing a rope with better resistance to crushing, improved drum spooling, and increased lifting capacity.
  • A smooth outer strand profile improves rope wear resistance, reduces sheave and drum wear, and allows the rope to run more efficiently on high speed hoisting lines.
  • Specially formulated lubrication increases rope performance and reduces the effects of corrosion.
  • Well-marked core tracers make it easy to identify Cushion-Pac 18 outperforming ropes.
  • Full technical support allows you to make the correct rope selection, obtain the relevant installation, inspection and maintenance procedures, and receive the necessary training.

Cushion-Pac® 18 Reduces Operating Costs

  • Reduced overall operating costs as a result of improved performance and minimized downtime.
  • Fewer operational safety concerns as a result of external inspection capability.
  • Lower equipment maintenance costs as a result of reduced sheave and drum wear.
