Twin-Path® Slings with Covermax® Cover & K-Spec® Core Yarn
Slingmax Twin-Path® Slings are the strongest, lightest & most versatile sling on the market today. Constructed of a proprietary blend of K-Spec® high-performance fibers, Twin-Path® Slings can lift up to 600,000 lbs. or more with only 1% stretch at rated capacity. Pound-for-pound five times stronger than steel and only 1/10th the weight of steel slings, Twin-Path® Slings provide superb ergonomic benefits. These soft, pliable slings are easy to handle, transport and store and allow users to rig safer, faster and less expensively than any other rigging product.
Twin-Path® Synthetic Roundslings by Slingmax® Rigging Solutions are the only available synthetic slings equipped with K-Spec® high performance fibers, Check-Fast® inspection overload indicators, abrasion-resistant bulked nylon Covermax® Cover and Rifled Cover® technology. The Twin-Path® sling design, which has two individual paths of fiber working as one, complements other safety and inspection features to instill rigger confidence and overcome shortfalls found in single-path roundslings.
The K-Spec® core yarn, encased inside a repairable outer cover, has been independently tested and proven to be the longest lasting load-bearing core yarn in any sling. When productivity, safety and a precision product are necessary, Twin-Path® high performance roundslings are your best choice. Slingmax® has been a trusted supplier to the industrial and heavy lifting markets since 1986. Think Twin-Path® slings for all your lifting and rigging needs.
NOTE: Experts agree that over 80% of synthetic sling accidents are caused by cutting; be SURE you always have the correct sling protection for your specific lift!

Check-Fast® Inspection System:
The Check-Fast® External Warning Indicator (EWI) on a roundsling product provides criteria for a pass/fail when the internal load-bearing core yarn may be damaged. Damage to the core yarn from fiber-on-fiber abrasion, fatigue, and severe overload can be detected. If the sling is overloaded beyond rated capacity, the EWI is designed to retract before the sling fails.
The Check-Fast® Inspection System is designed to improve job site safety. The Check-Fast® External Warning Indicator (EWI) provides a criteria for pass/fail inspection when the internal load-bearing core yarn may be damaged. The Check-Fast® Inspection System can also indicates ultraviolet (UV) light degradation, fiber-on-fiber abrasion, fatigue, and severe overload. If the sling is overloaded beyond its rated capacity, the EWI is designed to retract before the sling fails. The sling inspector now has an objective “GO/NO-GO” inspection device rather than relying on subjective and labor-intensive inspection techniques to guess if the load-bearing core yarns are in good condition.
Rifled Cover® Technology & Covermax® Cover:
Rifled Cover® Technology is a major patented breakthrough for roundslings and is only available on Slingmax® high-performance roundslings. Rifled Cover® Technology works like the inside of a rifle barrel where, the bullet spins as it leaves the muzzle of the gun. The helical winding of the core fibers significantly improves strength, efficiency, and consistent and predictable breaking strength.
- Increased strength-to-weight ratio. 17% increased breaking strength with the same amount of core yarn.
- Consistent and predictable breaking strength for every sling.
- Repeatability in the manufacturing process.
Twin-Path® roundslings are made with the Slingmax® Covermax® Cover. The Covermax® Cover is made with a heavy-duty, double-layer industrial nylon material. The outside cover is green and the inside cover is red. If damage on the green cover allows red to show through, return the sling for factory inspection and repair. This cover has been tested to provide the best ultraviolet (UV) protection and the best abrasion protection on any commercially-available synthetic lifting sling.
Fiber Optic Inspection:
Fiber Optic Inspection is an optional addition to Twin-Path® slings. If heat or crushing damage has occurred, the fiber optic cable will not transmit light from one end to the other, giving the inspector cause to remove the sling from service and send it for repair evaluation. The fiber optic cable will conduct light using natural, overhead, or flashlight sources.
